Subscription costs $9.95 per month or $99 for the year. Members can match videos to a state’s curriculum standards by grade and subject. Use is first month free, then either $3 for 1 month, $15 for 6 month, or $25 for 1 year. Requires Java and cookies be enabled.

Fee-based online lessons, not available for all internet browsers. SkillsTutor for grades 2-6 and 7-12 covers basic skills in the core academic subjects. K-2 Learning MileStones is an interactive e-workbook program in reading and math with printable worksheets; audio instructions in English and Spanish. These products have evolved from materials originally produced for Apple II and IBM computers; now a part of Houghton Mifflin.

StudyDog at http://www.studydog.com/
Founded in 2002, StudyDog provides online reading lessons in a PreK-K sequence and a Grade 1-2 sequence. Contents are outlined on the site. The first activity upon registration is a placement test to determine the appropriate lessons for the specific child. The complete series is available to low-income families at no cost; $25 to $50 per grade for others.
